This publication from the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (a project of the Institute for Community Inclusion at the University of Massachusetts Boston) addresses a key challenge for states with Employment First initiatives: ensuring that employment supports meet the standards for best practice.
The brief provides an overview of known best practives and then introduces research aimed at bettering workplace employment supports. Through online training, data-based performance feedback and peer supports in a vitrual community of practice, employment consultants (those who deliver employment supports) can improve their use of promising practices.
