U.S. DOL ETA to Host WIOA Stakeholder Consultation Webinars for Services to Individuals with Disabilities on Aug. 26 and Sept. 2

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is inviting state and local workforce leaders and practitioners, workforce system partners, customer and other stakeholders to participate in upcoming webinars to provide input on the implementation of the recently passed Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (Pub. L. 1130128), designed to help job seekers with and without disabilities to access employment, education, training and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.

While the entire webinar series runs through Sept. 15, two webinars focused specifically on services to individuals with disabilities begin next week. Please see the topics and a link to register below:

This is your opportunity to have your thoughts on the record about the implementation of the new disability provisions in WIOA so that ETA can consider your input as they develop future technical assistance and guidance.  ETA will gather input through the webinars via a chat feature in order to most efficiently collect thoughts and ideas from webinar participants.
