On July 9th, Congress passed H.R. 803, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The bill improves and streamlines the federal workforce development system, this includes the numerous American Job Centers across the country.
The American Job Center Network provides a single, 24-7 access point for key federal programs and critical local resources to help people find a job, identify training programs, and tap into resources to help them gain skills in growing industries. The website, and the nearly 3,000 brick-and-mortar employment centers that make up the American Job Center Network, are a critical resource for both jobseekers including people with disabilities, veterans and youth, as well as employers and businesses.
